Lingerie makes for an excellent romantic gift for the lady in your life, but getting the right size can be difficult.

When you buy a bra, it’s really important to buy the right size. One size too big, or one size too small, and your gift will be consigned to a drawer never to see the light of day again. So if you want to see your gift put to good use, and you don’t know the size you need to buy, you will need to have a look in her underwear drawer! It’s important to look for bras that you know she wears a lot, the chances are they are the right size. Don’t be fooled by brand new ones in there that she never, ever wears, they probably don’t fit! Don’t forget to think about the colours she normally wears too, women like to be colour co-ordinated. If in doubt, white and black are the best options.

If the thought of rifling through a drawer full of bras and knickers terrifies you, there is an alternative. Rather than buying a bra and knickers set, you could go for a camisole and knickers set instead, or maybe a chemise. They are sized in dress sizes, so are easier to guess, and they aren’t as crucial in the sizing as a bra.
